Part 1, from the Play Store on the television, is enough when Home opens Projectivy. The stock home is still installed. Turning Override current launcher off puts it back.
Lesson 3
What changes when Home opens the new screen.
The sponsored row is the stock home screen. Once this cleanyourtv tutorial makes Home open Projectivy Launcher, that row is no longer what you see. Your apps are still there. You open them yourself.
Part 2 disables the Google TV or Android TV home packages. It does not uninstall them. The three enable lines on the tutorial page turn them back on.
Netflix, YouTube, and other apps keep their own ads. This lesson does not change those apps, voice search, casting, the store, or system updates.
What this cleanyourtv tutorial will not do
- It will not root the television or flash firmware.
- It will not uninstall apps. Disable is the only system change, and only in Part 2.
- It will not turn off voice, casting, the Play Store, or updates.
- It will not host the launcher or the computer tools. Those come from the television’s Play Store and from Google’s platform-tools.
- It will not change Samsung, LG, Roku, Vizio, or VIDAA home screens. Those sets stay on Lesson 1.
